Gemma arterton
Gemma Christina Arterton is an English actor who is known for her role in films like 'Quantum of Solace', 'The Disappearance of Alice Creed', and 'Hansel and Grete: Witch Hunters'. Her birthplace was Gravesend within Greater London. While in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, she began her career through a part as an actor in the comedy 'St Trinian's'. She appeared shortly after in "Quantum of Solace" The James Bond spy thriller. The film was commercially successful, but had mostly positive reviews. In the following film, she was the leading female in the fantasy action film "Prince of Persia - The Sands of Time". Her role was as an assistant in the French film 'Orphan.' Her career in the film industry has had her recognized for many awards. She won the highly coveted Empire Award for best newcomer for her role in Quantum of Solace and the Evening Standard Theatre Award for the role she played in Made in Dagenham. She was also awarded by the Glamour Award for the Woman of the Year in 2011.
