Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American producer stage and screen actress best known for her film roles in Ray Undercover Brother and on the tv show The Mentalist. She received a BA in Brown University in African-American Studies. In the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University she earned an MFA. Aunjanue is l. Ellis is the American actor and producer who has performed in theatre and TV and films as well, is active on both sides of the screen. She began her career acting in the theatre but then proceeded to be a part of numerous television series, mainstream and independent films. Her most well-known roles were as Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) and on BET's massive The Book of Negroes. The two series garnered praise from critics, and she also took home a variety of accolades. She began her career acting in 1995, when she appeared as Ariel in The Tempest. The credits on stage include Come and Gone Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production of Joe Turner. Film-wise, she's best known for roles such as Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express or The Help. The role she played as a regular in ABC's drama-police series High Incident earned her praises.
